The negative, the bad, the ugly will happen. If you want it or not.
Why would you choose to be confronted by it voluntarily?
It will happen anyway, no matter what.
No matter what, always choose the positive, the good, the beautiful.
The negative: Knowing what doesn’t work, leads to a) avoiding it and b) try something else which might also not work (negative loop).
The positive: Knowing what works, leads to doing it.
(Knowing what works can be found out by via negativa, however only by getting out of the negative loop of knowing what doesn’t work)
The pessimist: “It won’t work”, leads to not trying at all, i.e. remaining at the baseline / status quo (downside protection).
The optimist: “It might work”, leads to trial and error with a) downside protection (remaining at the baseline / status quo if it doesn’t work) but also b) upside potential (happy if it works).
Implication: Be an optimist focused on the positive.
You cannot fake importance.
If something is not important, then there’s no drive to get it done.
The same goes for urgency.
If something is not urgent, there’s no drive to get it done.
However, if something is both important and urgent, forces will be at full play to make you get it done.
If it’s additionally relevant, i.e.meaningfull for you right now, the universe will add fun to it.
(The concept of fun is often misunderstood. It’s confused with irresponsibility. Yet, someone with responsibility cannot have fun at a party knowing an important, urgent, and relevant project needs to get done tomorrow. However, he will have fun completing it, and even more fun enjoying the party afterwards.)
