Truth in a poem (Part 2)

If you think you are beaten, you are;
If you think you dare not, you don’t.
If you’d like to win, but think you can’t,
It’s almost a cinch you won’t.

If you think you’ll lose, you’ve lost;
For out in the world we find.
Success begins with a fellow’s will,
It’s all in the state of mind.

If you think you’re outclassed, you are;
You’ve got to think high to rise.
You’ve got to be sure of yourself before,
You can ever win a prize.

Life’s battles don’t always go
To the stronger or faster man.
But soon or late the man who wins
Is the one who thinks he can!

Truth in a poem

I bargained with life for a penny,
And life would pay no more;
However I begged at evening,
When I counted my scanty store.

For life is a just employer,
He gives you what you ask;
But once you have set the wages,
Now you must bear the task.

I worked for a menial’s hire,
Only to learn, dismayed;
That any wage I had asked of life,
Life would have willingly paid.

The magic formula

Passion = Anger + Love

Back to business: Take your anger against something (business as usual) as well as your love for something (business the way it should be) to get the energy and drive needed for execution. If you’re just against the status quo, without a solution in mind, you’re nothing but an anarchist. Energy wasted useless.

There is only one rule

Love, and do what you want.
